  • Oboe

    Officer - Board of Directors

    Dr. Rebecca Keller-Gardner is an oboist, educator, and arts administrator based in Eugene, Oregon. She currently serves as the Director of Operations and Administration for the Oregon Mozart Players, a nonprofit chamber orchestra in Eugene. She performs regularly with the Newport, Rogue Valley, and Eugene Symphonies and teaches oboe and reedmaking in Eugene.

    Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Arts from Luther College, with international performances in Vienna and Spain. She earned her Master of Music from the University of Northern Colorado, where she played with the Contemporary and Early Music Ensembles and the Longmont Symphony. Rebecca completed her Doctorate at the University of Oregon in 2023, with her research focusing on two of Alyssa Morris's solo oboe works. She was the oboe studio graduate employee and performed with the university orchestra and wind ensemble during her doctoral studies. Her primary teachers include Lisa Brende-Martin, Dr. Heather Armstrong, Dr. Euridice Alvarez, Timothy Gocklin, and Melissa Peña.

    Singaporean David Kwek is pursuing his Doctoral Degree in Music Performance at the University of Oregon, School of Music and Dance (UO SOMD) under the mentorship of Dr. Wonkak Kim. He is also the Clarinet Graduate Instructor, assisting with teaching and administrative duties for the clarinet studio. He currently serves as Principal Clarinet at the Rogue Valley Symphony in Ashland, Oregon.

    David attained his MMus with department honors from UO SOMD, and BMus with first class honors from the joint degree program of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Singapore) and the Royal College of Music (London). His teachers were Tang Xiao Ping, Janet Hilton, Michael Harris and Michael Anderson. 

    David is a Yamaha Artist and plays SE Artist Clarinets. As a Daddario Woodwinds artist, he plays on Reserve reeds. For more information please visit www.davidzkwek.com

  • Saxophone

    Nick Graham is a saxophonist and private music instructor currently based in Eugene, Oregon. He has been playing saxophone for 12 years under the instruction of Andy Warr, Sean Fredenburg, and Idit Shner. As an instructor, he has seven years of experience, teaching students of all ages and abilities. Nick graduated from the University of Oregon in 2024 with bachelor’s degrees in Music Performance, Music History and Culture, as well as a minor in Audio Production and a minor in Music Technology.

    A native Oregonian, Nick began performing seriously while in high school through community college bands and local groups. He has performed with the Oregon Wind Ensemble, UO Symphony, Britt Festival Orchestra, Newport Symphony Orchestra, and the Portland Saxophone Ensemble. Nick enjoys collaborating with other musicians and composers as a part of nonesuch.reedquintet. He is passionate about teaching saxophone and hopes to inspire others to find what makes them truly happy, whether it be music or something else.

  • Bass Clarinet

    Treasurer - Board of Directors

    A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dexter Hidalgo is a clarinetist and educator based in Eugene, Oregon. He currently serves as Second Clarinet for the Reno Chamber Orchestra and has performed with ensembles including the Eugene Symphony, Rogue Valley Symphony, Newport Symphony, and Reno Philharmonic. 

    Dexter has also been appointed as the Bass Clarinet Fellow for Orchestra Next since 2024 and named a winner of the 2024 Grande Ronde Symphony Concerto Competition. Dexter currently serves as the clarinet instructor at Linn-Benton Community College and regularly works with clarinet students in Eugene classrooms. As an advocate for music in the classroom, Dexter uses his music education training to regularly lead educational initiatives through nonesuch.reedquintet, working with children and families in classrooms and community centers. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Nevada, Reno and a Master’s of Music from the University of Oregon. His principal teachers include Dr. Wonkak Kim and Dr. Joshua Anderson.

  • Bassoon

    President - Board of Directors

    Dr. Bronson York is a bassoonist, chamber musician, and educator based in Oregon. Originally from California, he is the founder and bassoonist of nonesuch.reedquintet, an internationally performing chamber ensemble dedicated to innovative programming and expanding the artistic possibilities of the reed quintet medium. Through his work with nonesuch., Bronson has performed across the United States and Southeast Asia, collaborating with composers, educators, and arts organizations in both concert and educational settings.

    As an orchestral musician, Bronson serves as Principal Bassoon of the Rogue Valley Symphony and Jefferson Baroque Orchestra. He has also performed with ensembles throughout the Pacific Northwest in both modern and historical performance settings. Passionate about contemporary chamber music and audience development, his artistic work often focuses on interdisciplinary programming, narrative-driven performance experiences, and building sustainable models for chamber music engagement.

    Bronson recently completed his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Oregon, where his research focused on chamber ensemble entrepreneurship, audience cultivation, and innovative approaches to classical music presentation. He previously earned both his Master of Music and Bachelor of Music degrees from the University of Oregon.

    Logan is a Eugene native, graduating from Willamette High School in 2019. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon in 2023 under the instruction of Dr. Wonkak Kim. During his time here, he has performed with groups including OrchestraNEXT, Newport Symphony, and Eugene Symphony. In the spring of 2025, Logan graduated with a master’s in music performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music under the instruction of Professor Pavel Vinnitsky.
