  • Oboe

    Founding Member

    Officer - Board of Directors

    Dr. Rebecca Keller-Gardner is an oboist, educator, and arts administrator based in Eugene, Oregon. She currently serves as the Director of Operations and Administration for the Oregon Mozart Players, a nonprofit chamber orchestra in Eugene. She performs regularly with the Newport, Rogue Valley, and Eugene Symphonies and teaches oboe and reedmaking in Roseburg and at the Pavilanis School of Music in Eugene.

    Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Arts from Luther College, with international performances in Vienna and Spain. She earned her Master of Music from the University of Northern Colorado, where she played with the Contemporary and Early Music Ensembles and the Longmont Symphony. Rebecca completed her Doctorate at the University of Oregon in 2023, with her research focusing on two of Alyssa Morris's solo oboe works. Her primary teachers include Lisa Brende-Martin, Dr. Heather Armstrong, Dr. Euridice Alvarez, and Melissa Peña.

  • Clarinet

    Secretary - Board of Directors

    Singaporean David Kwek is pursuing his Doctoral Degree in Music Performance at the University of Oregon, School of Music and Dance (UO SOMD) under the mentorship of Dr. Wonkak Kim. He is also the Clarinet Graduate Employee Instructor, assisting with teaching and administrative duties for the clarinet studio. He currently holds the Principal Clarinet position at the Rogue Valley Symphony in Ashland, Oregon.

    David attained his MMus with department honors from UO SOMD, and BMus with first class honors from the joint degree program of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Singapore) and the Royal College of Music (London). His teachers were Tang Xiao Ping, Janet Hilton, Michael Harris and Michael Anderson. His achievements include the Embassy of Peru Award (2019), Best Graduate Performer Award (UO 2024) and the First Prize of the Clarinet Asia competition (2019) held in Macau.

    David is a Yamaha Artist and plays SE Artists Clarinets. As a Daddario Woodwinds artist, he plays on Reserve Evolution reeds.

  • Saxophone

    Nick Graham is a saxophonist and private music instructor currently based in Eugene, Oregon. He has been playing saxophone for 10 years under the instruction of Andy Warr, Sean Fredenburg, and Idit Shner. As an instructor, he has five years of experience, teaching students of all ages and abilities. Nick graduated from the University of Oregon in 2024 with bachelor’s degrees in Music Performance, Music History and Culture, as well as a minor in Audio Production and a minor in Music Technology.

    A native Oregonian, Nick began performing seriously while in high school through community college bands and local groups. He was selected as a scholarship recipient for the Pacific Honors Ensemble Program, an international exchange between the Young Conservatorium at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia and the Western International Band Clinic. Nick has performed with the Oregon Wind Ensemble, UO Symphony, Britt Festival Orchestra, Newport Symphony Orchestra, and more recently, the Portland Saxophone Ensemble.

    Nick enjoys collaborating with other musicians and composers and is a founding member of nonesuch.reedquintet. He is passionate about teaching saxophone and hopes to inspire others to find what makes them truly happy, whether it be music or something else.

    In his spare time, Nick can be found playing the guitar, producing music, enjoying the outdoors, reading, or collecting records.

  • Bass Clarinet

    Treasurer - Board of Directors

    A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dexter Hidalgo currently resides in Eugene, Oregon, and recently earned his Masters in Music Performance at the University of Oregon. He holds the Second Clarinet position with the Reno Chamber Orchestra in Reno, Nevada. Across Oregon and Nevada, he has performed with groups such as the Eugene Symphony, the Rogue Valley Symphony, the Reno Philharmonic, and more.


    Dexter received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Nevada, Reno, where he performed with various groups in Northern Nevada and enjoyed teaching in the area. His primary teachers include Dr. Joshua Anderson and Dr. Wonkak Kim.

  • Bassoon

    President - Board of Directors

    Bronson York is currently in his third year of his doctoral degree at the University of Oregon under the instruction of Dr. Steve Vacchi, with whom he has also studied for both his master's and bachelor's degrees. As a graduate employee in the UO bassoon studio, Bronson assists with bassoon and contrabassoon instruction and leads the studio in reed-making activities.

    Recently, Bronson was honored as the winner of the 2024 University of Oregon Concerto Competition. He currently holds the principal bassoon position with the Rogue Valley Symphony and Jefferson Baroque Orchestra in Ashland, Oregon. In addition to his performances in Ashland, Bronson regularly plays with the Oregon Bach Festival, Eugene Symphony, and Eugene Ballet. His most gratifying musical experience, however, is with the nonesuch.reedquintet.

    Logan is a Eugene native, graduating from Willamette high school in 2019. He is in his final year of his bachelor's degree at the University of Oregon where he studies with Dr. Wonkak Kim. In his time here he has performed with groups including OrchestraNEXT, Newport Symphony, and Eugene Symphony. In the fall of 2023 he will begin his master's program at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music with professor Pavel Vinnitsky.
